This year for our outdoor fall decor I've decided to keep a neutral theme (shocking, right!?) - using lots of white and sage green pumpkins & gourds along with white mums and eucalyptus. I found a really pretty pin on Pinterest that I also shared on my Instagram page - that had white stacked pumpkins and the prettiest overflowing eucalyptus, so I decided to try and recreate that for my urns by the garage. I saved a "How To" series on my IG story on my Fall Highlights if you're interested! The one thing I would do differently next year...not spray painting the pumpkins. It would save a ton of time and the white got ultra white, and against our home it all just kind of blends together, so I think I'd keep them more natural looking next time - or try for sage green stacks of pumpkins. I bought fresh eucalyptus from Trader Joes for only $2.99 a bundle (I bought 10 total), which was such a good deal, you can get the pumpkins/gourds there, too!
Our giant white mums are from Tonkadale - I'd definitely recommend going there to check out their fall decor if you are local to the Minneapolis area, such cute stuff and beautiful mums. While you're there you can pick up your bulbs for spring, too! I just planted all of mine and can't wait to see them pop up in the springtime - that is, if I can keep the rabbits away!

It is so fun being able to dress to show off your bump once you've popped, but I really hate spending money on maternity clothes since there's such a limited time that you wear them for. This pregnancy I don't think I have bought any maternity clothes, I've reused a few things from my pregnancy with Parker, but have mostly found cute basics that work for dressing the bump and are non-maternity so they'll work afterward too.
I'm a pretty basic dresser - I love white, gray, black - basic tees, a comfy dress and athleisure. Below are some of my favorite styles, all of which I own and am currently wearing. A lot of these are great transition pieces to fall, too - you can throw a sweater on over the dresses and pair it with a pair of booties.
1 - Striped tie dress (so soft and comfy!) - you can see me wearing it below. | 2- Oversized boyfriend sweater in cashmere | 3- Striped dress with ruffle sleeves (also can see me wearing below.) - ON SALE! | 4- Turtleneck swing dress | 5 - The perfect sweater blazer for layering | 6- long boyfriend style T that goes with everything | 7 - Wunder Under crops - they are high waisted and I wear them almost every day! | 8 - Gray t-shirt dress with tie |
9 - The softest joggers in the whole world.
This dress is #1 above and is so so comfortable!
I love to organize and make things look pretty and decided to make some updates to my pantry and to my spice jars. I was so happy when I discovered these hand lettered spice jars from A & Co Mercantile, they were the perfect way to make my custom spice rack look pretty & organized, while reflecting my personal style, too. I love how they look so much I almost want to display them on a turntable in my pantry so people can see them. You can find similar jars for a little less here, too.
I've been wanting to organize my pantry for so long, and finally found some products that were inexpensive enough to tackle the project. I was surprised at how expensive it can be to buy turntables, storage containers, bins, etc. If you've been reading my blog for awhile now, you can probably tell that I love bright & airy spaces, and my pantry was no exception, so when I found these white crates I knew they were perfect. I am still on the hunt for the perfect labels to put on all of the crates and will share that info once I find "the ones". All of the products I've used are linked below!
Oversized storage bins - I have another one of these in my pantry, too for donations. There are always foods I am trying with Parker that he doesn't like so instead of tossing them I put them in a donation bin, and when it's full I donate it all.
I love displaying the pasta in clear containers so I can see all of the different noodle types I have on hand.
I love using turntables to display jarred products and grouped them together by category - this one is for Asian style foods.
I grouped each crate by day part of food type - this one for example is all breakfast foods - pancakes, oatmeal, hot cereal, etc.
Use mason jars to display straws or flatware.
MONEY SAVING TIP
If you have vases on hand, use your shorter vases to display dry goods like granola bars and fruit snacks.

Hey everyone, I wanted to start this post by saying a huge THANK YOU to everyone who responded to my IG story about double strollers! I got soo many messages and can't wait to go check out the two strollers I'm considering in person. Since this was such a popular topic, I thought it would be fun to do a post all about strollers.
I wanted to start by sharing my favorite SINGLE stroller, the Bugaboo Cameleon, and then follow it up with all of the awesome input I got from my readers about the double strollers and all of the considerations for both the Uppababy Vista and the City Select Lux. Update: After shopping for both of these, I have added one additional option to the mix - the Silver Cross - which I was told the Royal Family just bought. It's so stylish!
Also - Both the Bugaboo Cameleon Single and the City Select Lux are on MAJOR sale for the Nordstrom anniversary sale right now! So if you are considering either one, I would urge you to go for it now, this is the cheapest I've ever seen the Bugaboo!
I absolutely fell in LOVE with the Bugaboo Cameleon, a European stroller, when I was shopping around while pregnant. I have been SO happy with our decision to buy this stroller and plan on keeping it for as long as possible.
My favorite features:
- The sleek, flexible design - with lots of customizable options and colors.
- Light weight and folds down easily. It's literally a 1-2 step breakdown process depending on which mode you are using it in. Loads/unloads into my SUV so easily!
- All terrain, rubber tires - NOT plastic ones
- Three modes - Bassinet, Car Seat, or Toddler seat with a variety of configurations in each mode.
- Handlebars that adjust for both my height (5'1") and my husbands (6'5").
- Super easy to travel with.
- Removable sun canopy (the sun canopy is also extendable so you can basically cover the whole stroller).
- You can also remove the basket from underneath the stroller
With the Maxi Cosi Car Seat (also on sale right now!) I was easily able to pop it right into the stroller base when P was an infant. You need two adapters that are easy to pop on and take in and out. I will say that when I was with all of my Amma Mama friends, and we would go walking with our new babies, my stroller/car seat combo was easily the most compact and easy to maneuver.
HANDLE BAR AND SEAT CONFIGURATION FLEXIBILITY
One of the cool features about this stroller is that you can flip the handle bars from front to back. In this picture on the beach, you can see that the handle bar is over the small wheels, but in the other pictures, you can see that it's over the big wheels. THIS FEATURE IS SO NICE!! We never could've walked on the beach with the small wheels in front, so we flipped directions and were able to take it on the sand with the big wheels in front. I'm sure you can't do this with a lot of strollers. This is also really nice when you are on walks and the sun is in a tough spot and you want to flip around the stroller so the suns not on baby, or you just want to look at them. :)
The other amazing feature here is that the seat has three positions - completely laid back so kiddos can nap, middle recline (which P is here in the beach picture), or straight up - and you can face them out or toward you. So with the toddler seat there are 6 configurations.
The bassinet looks so cute on this stroller too! I miss those days and am excited to put P's little brother in the bassinet feature soon!
Another added bonus, these strollers keep their value for either trade in or re-sale, so when it's time to move on (if you choose) you can still get a nice pay back. :)
The only downside about this stroller is that it doesn't convert to a double stroller and the basket below is kind of small so it doesn't always fit my big bags that easily, I kind of have to cram them in there.
On to DOUBLE STROLLERS!
There were so many great messages that I received about these two strollers and you can pretty much say that people love their strollers! I've summarized the feedback I received on these below, and actually went to Baby Grand, a local store, to play around with these strollers and have added in some of my thoughts, too, and also a new stroller option to consider and what we're thinking.
UPPABABY VISTA DOUBLE
Verdict: If I were looking for an amazing single stroller, I would definitely look at this one because people love it so much and it can grow with your family into a double stroller. However, as only a double stroller, I don't think this one will work for us due to the low weight limit on the rumble seat and how cramped the space is of both the toddler seats.
City Select LUX
Verdict: My number one pick right now. Although I wish it looked a little nicer from a design perspective, I think it hits all the points I am looking for from a functionality perspective, and it's a top selling double stroller. I love that it has the most space and has a sit/stand option and comes in a pretty gray.
Lastly, when I was at Baby Grand, I saw this Silver Cross stroller that I was unfamiliar with. From a design perspective, this is absolutely my number one pick! I really loved it, but it doesn't fold down very small, so it's better designed for city folks vs. those that need to fold it up and take it in/out of the car. Also, it's REALLY heavy, like WAY heavier than the City Select Lux. The gal at Baby Grand was telling me the royal family just bought this one, and I can see why, it's beautiful. I suppose this would be a good option if you are also going to have another side by side stroller for walking or a more compact umbrella stroller to load/unload in the car, too.
Another reader suggested the Austlen Entourage, which looks interesting too! I like the sit/stand option on this.
Since the Nordstrom Anni Sale starts tomorrow for non-cardholders, aka ME, I'm hoping to make a final decision soon. This is a tough one, in my opinion, there's no perfect double stroller. I wish I could design one that would expand to side-by-side like the Bugaboo Donkey, or convert to a single and go front & back.
SHOP THIS POST
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally here, yay! There are so many amazing deals on baby and kid stuff, I had to pull together a few of my favorites that we have or are on our wish list. I'm not going to lie, seeing all of the fall things for sale has me really excited for a little bit cooler weather and all things pumpkin...and BABY!
Starting in the upper left hand corner...
I love that this highchair is whitewashed and is so simple to use and clean.
Northface jacket and twinning baby onesie... so cute and cozy for fall!
City Select LUX stroller - this is on my list of double strollers to consider and with a price this low, I am seriously considering this one! Such an amazing deal right now!!
Leather Bootie - because they are so cute!
Little Giraffe Baby Blanket - P has two of these and we are obsessed. He sleeps with it every night. It's so so soft!
Petit Pehr Pom Pom Storage Bins - These have been my #1 pick for storage bins but they were a little spendy, so now is the time to buy!
Bugaboo Cameleon Stroller - This is the stroller we use with Parker and we absolutely LOVE it! It's pretty expensive, so it's an awesome time to buy it and take advantage of these savings. I wish they'd make a double stroller that's not side-by-side, I'd buy it for when baby comes hands down.
Snuggle Blankey & Crib Sheet - For a baby girl.... so CUTE! I love the flamingos.
Dockatot - I don't love the prints they are featuring on the sale, but these things are expensive and the deal is so good. We LOVED our Dockatot!
Maxi Cosi Mico Max 30 Infant Car Seat - This is the infant carrier we used with Parker (also compatible with the Bugaboo with adapters), and we loved it. We are going to be using it again with baby.
Natives Shoes - Our favorite shoes! These two styles are on sale!
Nuna Rava Convertible Car Seat - Parker's current car seat, it's been wonderful!
I've also pulled together a few of my favorite fall pieces from the sale that I love for me. All of these are so affordable during the sale I had to share. :)
I'm in love with these black wedge booties! Perfect mom boots for fall & winter, they come in brown, too. Update: These sold out in pre-sale, but these ones are just as cute and still available!
Gray turtle neck sweater - less than $50 and it comes in several colors.
Brown wedge booties - love the cut out detail. Less than $100!
This fall & winter coat is so classy, and will never go out of style. There are several colors available too.
Tan Knee High Boots - So cute and versatile. Only $150.
Gray top coat - so versatile, you can throw it over anything to complete your fall look. Comes in a variety of colors and petite - perfect for us short gals. :)
