Target is seriously nailing it this fall.  They're stocked with on-trend and price point friendly clothes and accessories.  Here are my faves that I just picked up this past weekend...and will likely make lots of appearances on the blog.

1. Black wear-to-work dress
2. Green Plaid Blanket Scarf
3. Cheetah print sweater (perfectly paired with the Chanel lipstick below)
4. Red Chunky Cable Knit Sweater
5. B&W Plaid Blanket Scarf
6. Denim Tunic

What goes better with all the plaid and denim than a bold red lip? I went to Chanel to pick out a nice red to complement my skin tone - after trying on my sister's over Halloween weekend. Love this new color.. and was shocked it was under $50.
Chanel Lipstick - Rouge Coco (Arthur, #440)

I also found these super cute gray, fringe booties that were around $40 at Primp Boutique - for you local Minnesota gals. #ShopLocal
Fringe Booties (Primp Boutique - Minnesota local)

Enjoy all these affordable finds :)

October 11 was our one year anniversary - I can't believe how quickly time has flown by! I had so much fun planning our wedding - gathering inspiration from other brides and putting my own unique twist on things - and well, let's face it, I'm a total 'type A' - so I love to plan things. :)

I wanted to share a few of my favorite wedding details from our big day, in hopes that I can inspire other brides-to-be.

Bridal Details: My dress was the Olivia dress by Reem Acra - I think they renamed it after Olivia Wilde wore it on the red carpet and made it famous. My shoes are Badgley Mischka - I love how the rhinestones matched my cap sleeves. They were truly a perfect complement.

Invites - I chose William Arthur for our invites.  In this picture it's hard to see, but I fell in LOVE with the gold polka dots on the inside of the envelope and  also loved the 'royal' size of the invites. They were also gold which was my key color, so it was perfect.

Flowers - I had my florist, Liz, make floral letters in our initials to have on the church doors. I think these make such a pretty entrance to the chapel, along with the garland along the handrails.  For my bouquet and my centerpieces, I chose primarily roses - all in ivory and blush. I was so happy with the way these all turned out. My bouquet was so heavy though! I had to hand it off to my sister (and MOH) because my arm got tired, ha! The floating flowers may have been my favorite part.

When guests arrived to our reception (at a private residence) they were greeted with warm apple cider or champagne. I thought this was a really nice touch and greeting.

Lastly, my most favorite detail and where I invested a ton of time were these gold mini pumpkins.  We bought about 200 of them, and I went through like 10 cans of spray paint.  It was quite the undertaking to spray all of them on the top, sides and then flip them all over once they were dry to finish out the bottom side.  I am SO happy with the way they turned out though - they were perfect to accompany our table cards.

It all came together so well on our big day - it was exactly how I'd envisioned it all. It was so magical walking into our wedding tent our wedding night - surrounded by all of our favorite people.
