This winter I decided to give the brick wall in our kitchen a little makeover. It has totally brightened up our kitchen, and I feel like it has made it look a little bit bigger, too.
I went to Home Depot and got paint designed for brick surfaces, a large paint bucket and a medium & small paint brush. I mixed the white paint with water (about 50/50 mix), stirred it up with a wood paint stir stick and painted it on the wall until I got the color of whitewash that I wanted.
I did read to prep the wall by taking a rough bristle broom and sweeping the wall down - which was great to get off any dust & dirt. This was super easy and I completed it in a couple of hours. I love this look and would recommend it trying it if you want a fresh change.
Hi, welcome to my blog! I started my blog as a way to channel my creativity and document our life happenings. From the pretty, styled shots to the real, raw experiences, too, like our journey to start our family. I love to share about my faith, my personal style for interior decorating, holidays and entertaining & for our little guys. too. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your support. XO, Lindsay
